Hopping Home Rabbitry – Return & Cancellation Policy

We aim to ensure every rabbit from Hopping Home Rabbitry is placed in a loving and responsible home. This Return & Cancellation Policy outlines the terms for order cancellations and returns.
1. Cancellations
We reserve the right to cancel a sale and no refund will be given IF you are being difficult to work with, not responding, constantly changing the pickup day, or not preparing for the rabbit. These are exotic animals, so please research, learn, and have all the supplies needed prior to pickup day.
Sending a deposit confirms you have read and agreed to our policies. Must be over the age of 18 to sign and purchase a bunny. Our rabbits may be reserved at 4–6 weeks of age and picked up by you on the day they turn…
- Before Pickup:
- If you cancel your reservation before pickup, your deposit is non-refundable.
- If Hopping Home Rabbitry cancels the sale, your deposit will be refunded in full.
- After Pickup:
- Once a rabbit has been collected, the sale is final and cannot be cancelled.
2. Returns
- We do not accept returns due to:
- Change of mind
- Allergies
- Lifestyle changes or relocation
- Failure to provide proper care
- Exception – Health Guarantee:
- If a licensed veterinarian confirms within [X days] that your rabbit has a congenital defect covered under our Health Guarantee, we may offer a replacement rabbit (subject to availability) or refund at our discretion.
- Proof from the veterinarian is required.
3. Deposits
- All deposits are non-refundable unless Hopping Home Rabbitry cancels the sale.
- Deposits cannot be transferred to another rabbit unless agreed in writing.
4. No “Trial Periods”
- We do not offer trial adoptions or “try before you buy” arrangements.
- A rabbit’s welfare can be severely impacted by moving homes repeatedly, so we require buyers to be certain before committing.
5. Rehoming Assistance
- If you can no longer care for your rabbit, we may (subject to space and availability) help you rehome it, but no refund will be provided.
- This must be arranged in advance and is not guaranteed.
6. Agreement
By placing a deposit or purchasing a rabbit from Hopping Home Rabbitry, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this Return & Cancellation Policy.
7. Reserving
We require a NONREFUNDABLE 50% down payment to hold your rabbit. If you change your mind, or do not respond to contact, your down payment is forfeited and your rabbit will be sold to someone else. If your rabbit is not picked up on the agreed-upon date, we reserve the right to re-sell it and your down payment is nonrefundable. Deposits cannot be transferred to other rabbits or litters. (We try to be very flexible, but we are not a boarding center and pickup arrangements need to be planned when you are purchasing the rabbit.) All rabbits can leave at 8 weeks of age, which is listed under each litter’s information and communicated when you reserve.
